Welcome to the July 2022 edition of Subliminal Transmission! This month’s episode embraces the copious amounts of sunshine now blanketing most of the northern hemisphere and features several summer-themed tracks from the world of Trance, Progressive, and more. In the first hour, you’ll hear new tracks from Max Freegrant, Jerome Isma-Ae, Protoculture, and more, along with another new progressive production from Giuseppe Ottaviani. In the second hour, the BPMs climb, but the sunny vibes continue with some great progressive trance from Nitrous Oxide, Adam Taylor, and Alex Ryan, amongst others. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Subliminal Transmission episode without some tech, and this month we’ve got a couple of tasty tech selections from favorites of the show Mark Sherry and Jody 6. I also wrap up the show with a special outside-the-box production from Paul Thomas and Fuenka, so make sure to stay tuned to the end for that.

I also wanted to add a quick note on the tardiness of this episode - I’m going to try out releasing episodes around the middle of the month going forward as it allows me a little more time to mix and compile the final episode recordings. Episodes will still come out on a monthly basis, but you’ll see them come out around the 15th or so of each month. I appreciate your understanding and support with this change 👍

Bella Rose is a rising DJ in the Seattle area, born and raised in the Northwest. She has been making a name for herself in the trance and house scenes with performances ranging from deep house to uplifting trance (with a particular love for Anjuna.) You can find her on the bill supporting artists such as Nox Vahn, Just Her, Dimibo, Fatum, Giuseppe Ottaviani, and Jordan Suckley, as well as many local Northwest events and guest mixes on live streams and radio shows such as Proton Amplified and AnjunaFamily LA.

With a background in the bass, she loves to incorporate various genres in her sets that always pack an extra ‘punch’ and dive into the darker and deeper sides of trance and house.

With a passion for music and a love for trying new things, she is sure to bring something fresh and exciting to every performance.

Our Passion is Trance & Friends presents Guest Mixes episode 7 by. Alastair James

Long before he ever became a DJ, Alastair James knew trance to be as vital as the very air he breathes. Therefore, it is no surprise how quickly the San Francisco native has found his voice as a storyteller, leading the vibrant first act in an electronic music tale of his own.
The moment Alastair sets foot behind the decks, the world around him gives way to an ever-changing cadence of sound and emotion. His skills caught the attention of Niko Zografos early on, opening doors at the onset of his career. His style of uplifting and tech trance has moved crowds at destinations like Ruby Skye, 1015 Folsom, and Exchange LA, in addition to the worldwide listeners who tune in for his Trancesion mix series.

Although no stranger to techno, progressive house, or even drum and bass, Alastair James exhibits an unmistakable connection to trance that no fair-weather fan could hope to imitate. At times when it felt like he had nothing left, this music and the community surrounding it gave him the courage to carry on.
